NID Hosts NID x FURLENCO Masterclass Event in Ahmedabad from 9-10 April, The National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, in collaboration with Furlenco and the Furniture & Interior Design (FID) Alumni Network of NID, will host an NID x FURLENCO event from April 9-10, 2025, focused on the evolving landscape of furniture design. The event aims to explore key themes of sustainability, innovation, and the future of the furniture industry.
The event will commence with a panel discussion titled Emergent Trends in Furniture Design on April 9, 2025, at the NID Auditorium. Eminent academicians and industry professionals will come together to examine emerging new opportunities in Design for changing times. A panel of experts will come together to discuss sustainable design to evolving trends in the domain of Furniture Design. This session seeks to foster a dialogue between academia and industry, encouraging collaborative approaches to addressing contemporary design challenges.
Simultaneously, the Live Better Now exhibition, curated by Furlenco, will be hosted at the Design Gallery of NID Ahmedabad, from 9th to 10th April, 2025. The exhibition is open to the public from 10 am to 7pm. The exhibition will showcase circular and sustainable furniture solutions, emphasizing adaptable and responsible design strategies that cater to modern living requirements and provide a platform for visitors to explore innovative and user-centric furniture solutions.
This NID x FURLENCO Masterclass event is a one of a kind opportunity for the city of Ahmedabad including its design students, faculty, and industry professionals to engage in insightful discussions, exchange knowledge, and explore potential collaborations that will shape the future of furniture design.
